Ultrasound Technician - Ultrasonography - PD, Varaible Shift

Job Title: Ultrasonographer
Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist performs all diagnostic ultrasound procedures in the Imaging Department. U/S Technologist must demonstrate competent knowledge of the principles of sonography and patient care. Must exhibit a professional demeanor to all customers, physicians and staff and maintain that professionalism at all times.
Essential Job Duties:


  • Demonstrates knowledge of principles of physics, scanning technique and computer science skills related to ultrasound scanning according to approved department procedure manual.
  • Demonstrates complete working knowledge of all ultrasound equipment and computer software necessary to perform studies.
  • Demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning using ultrasound imaging technique to obtain desired views.
  • Reviews exposed films for proper positioning, technique and identification according to approved protocols.
  • Performs any other duties or responsibilities which may be assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • High school graduate
  • Completion of Accredited Ultrasound Program
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • CPR certificate
  • Must be eligible for ARDMS.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
